Abstract

Digital economy provides digital technology and financial foundation for cultivating and developing new quality productivity, and also Using the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2012 to 2022 as research samples, this paper adopts benchmark regression model and intermediary effect model to study the impact and mechanism of digital economy on common prosperity from the perspective of the digital economy. The findings are as follows: (1) Digital economy can significantly promote the development of common prosperity; (2) The mechanism test shows that the digital economy can promote the development of common prosperity in China from 2012 to 2022 as research samples. mechanism test shows that the digital economy can promote the development of common prosperity by improving the new quality productivity; (3) Heterogeneity test shows that the impact and mechanism of digital economy on common prosperity from the perspective of new quality productivity. The mechanism test shows that the digital economy can promote the development of common prosperity by improving the new quality productivity; (3) Heterogeneity test shows that the enabling effect of digital economy on common prosperity is more obvious in regions with large population density, high Heterogeneity test shows that the enabling effect of digital economy on common prosperity is more obvious in regions with large population density, high level of economic development and high level of digital infrastructure construction.
