Journal of Current Social Issues Studies (JCSIS) Publication Charges

The Journal of Current Social Issues Studies is a fully open-access journal, grounded in the belief that academic research should be freely accessible to all, without financial barriers. Each article published is immediately available to a global audience, without the need for subscriptions or access fees. To maintain our rigorous editorial standards and ensure the long-term sustainability of the journal, JCSIS has adopted the following fee structure:

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Upon acceptance of your manuscript for publication, an Article Processing Charge (APC) will be required. The standard APC is as follows, effective July 1, 2025:

  • 300 USD
  • 385 SGD
  • 256 EUR
  • 222 GBP
  • 415 CAD
  • 2160 CNY

In addition, after receiving the invoice, authors may contact the editorial office to have a new invoice issued based on their preferred currency. The Asia Technology Research Institute (ATRI) has accounts in Singapore, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and mainland China.

The listed prices do not include taxes, which will be applied to the final amount. This fee supports a complete, high-quality publishing workflow, from professional editing and meticulous typesetting to seamless digital publication. It also funds the continuous development and maintenance of the JCSIS platform, ensuring your research remains permanently and reliably available through open access.

In addition, the APC contributes to various initiatives aimed at enhancing the visibility and impact of the research we publish. These include indexing in leading academic databases and integrating advanced digital tools, which enhance the discoverability of JCSIS articles and ensure that they are accessible and citable across a broad range of international scholarly platforms.

Low and Lower-Middle Income Country Open Access Discount Program

We offer fee waivers to scholars from African countries and developing countries around the world. This waiver is provided by the Asia Technology Research Institute (ATRI) to promote high-quality, peer-reviewed scholarly publishing in developing countries. In fact, ATRI sometimes offers 100% fee waivers to scholars from developing countries, depending on the circumstances.

Student Discount and Fee Waiver

To support students facing financial challenges, we offer a student discount or fee waiver program. Students who meet the following criteria can apply:

  • The student must provide valid proof of enrollment.
  • The article must meet the publication's basic criteria.

If eligible, students will receive a discount or fee reduction based on the quality of their article and their specific circumstances. Please contact us for more details about the application process.

With ATRI's affiliated journals, the last thing you need to worry about is publication fees. For outstanding articles, we will proactively apply for fee waivers on your behalf. All you need to do is prepare an excellent manuscript, and we will ensure it is well supported throughout the process.
